Blowing Fuses and Trips
Fuses in older fuse boxes and breakers in modern consumer units such as RCDs and RCBOs are there to protect the electrical circuit by switching off the electricity if it detects a fault or problem.
This means if you are encountering blowing fuses or consumer unit trips there is a problem which needs to be looked into.
Our electricians are able to test electrical circuits to determine the cause of the fault and the blowing fuse or tripping switch.
Once the fault has been identified, it can be usually removed from the electrical circuit to ensure the continual trips no longer occur. The electrician can advise on what has happened, possibly why it happened and what can be done according to the situation.
If you encounter a one-off blow fuse or a trip then it could be a one-off situation such as a bulb blowing - but, if you encounter regular or intermittent blown fuses or trips, it is important you get an electrician to look at it as soon as possible. Remember electrical faults can cause fires so please arrange our electrician to call round as soon as possible.
To book an electrician to look at blowing fuses or trips in your fuse box or consumer unit, please give us a call on 01903 415790 or 07712 284146, email info@aselectricalsouthern.co.uk or send us a message.
